As there has been a lot of tensions among administration regarding the tackling of coronavirus, the speculations of demoting or firing the head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Anthony Fauci would be unimaginable or very challenging, as per the director of National Institutes of Health Francis Collins.

Well, many people from the administration are eyeing over Fauci’s demotion and have lashed out at him citing his way of handling the novel ‘coronavirus’ situation. Also, Fauci has even dismissed the grumbles and claimed these as mere attacks on him during the time of a pandemic situation which was never experienced before. Apparently, Collins as well mentioned about not having received any requests from the White House regarding the same matter.

In his statement, Collins emphasized the idea of being invalid and said, “Nobody has asked me to do that, and I find that concept unimaginable. And I am amused that everybody’s calling me Dr. Fauci’s boss because his real boss is his wife, Christine Grady. She might have something to say about that.”

Earlier this year, a trade advisor to Trump, Peter Navarro had published an op-ed piece in which he allegedly accused Fauci about doing everything or taking everything in the wrong manner. Navarro wrote, “Dr. Anthony Fauci has a good bedside manner with the public, but he has been wrong about everything I have interacted with him on.” While United States President Donald Trump has also refused to comment on the issue and there has been no notification from the White House as well.

However, Fauci had lashed out on Peter for writing the bizarre op-ed and said, “Ultimately, it hurts the president to do that. When the staff lets out something like that and the entire scientific and press community push back on it, it ultimately hurts the president.”
