Lizzie Velasquez lashes out at lady who did TikTok prank with her photo

People should be benevolent to each other and if not, cruelty shouldn’t be practiced. A cruel TikTok video has been doing rounds on the internet where a mother is seen showing the photo of Lizzie Velasquez to her son to prank him. The woman mentioned that she (Lizzie) would be her new school teacher and to which, the child’s response is as well not good. Well, Lizzie has also spoken up about the video and urged people to be empathetic towards others. 

Lizzie claimed that it is surely not a joke and said, “This trend where you are pretending to FaceTime someone who is either disabled or is a baby or just some crazy mugshot and you’re showing it to someone to get their reaction to saying, ‘Oh hey, talk to this person’ just to get a quick laugh, this is not funny! This is not a joke. If you are an adult who has a young human in your life, please do not teach them that being scared of someone who does not look like them is okay,” Please, everything that these kids need to know about having empathy and being kind to one another starts at home.”

She reiterated that these things are no joke and that they also have feelings like every other human being. Lizzie’s response to the mother’s atrocious video got a lot of positive reactions where a woman pointed out that children are born curious but it is us, who feed their minds with negative thoughts. “Very well put, children are born curious not hateful or fearful but they are taught these negative feelings from very irresponsible, insensitive adults closest to them, I do wish you well getting your message out there, it makes me furious that you would be abused by idiots,” a user with the name Donna Rees tweeted.
