Bridesmaid claims of taking legal actions against bride, Here’s why!

Well, weddings and the money spent on these, cost too much! A bridesmaid has troubled a couple as she is demanding her $140 to be returned which she possibly had incurred for buying the dress. The reason behind the aggressive nature is the couple who had canceled their wedding and eloped, as per bridesmaid. 

The couple made a post about the same on Reddit and wrote, “We made sure everything the wedding party bought could be returned beforehand. When we told our wedding party about the cancellation, everyone was supportive. Except for one bridesmaid who (used to be) my husband’s friend. She went ballistic. We told her the bridal shop was doing refunds and bending their return policy because of current situations but she is DEMANDING money. I have no idea why she has reacted this way. There had never been bad blood between the two of us in the past and I tried my best to be friends with her over the four years I have known her.”

Apparently, the user reiterated that her husband had even spoken to the bridesmaid and claimed that the bridal shop would take the dress back but she refused as she wanted $140 only. However, she even threatened them of escalating the matter to civil court if the bride refuses or fails to pay $140. 

“I refuse to give her the money because I know it can be returned. This whole situation is so trashy and makes me feel gross. I tried to be responsible by not having a large gathering and now I am being harassed and threatened by someone I didn’t know had an issue with me,” the user added.

Meanwhile, many users claimed their different theories where one said that the bridesmaid might have destroyed the dress and that’s why she was behaving reluctant towards returning it. Whereas the other wrote that the bridesmaid might be in a financial crisis and hence, she was trying her way in getting the money.
