Accusing Seoul of not rendering enough to stop an anti-Pyongyang leaflet campaign, Kim Jong Un’ sister has lashed out at South Korea by threatening military actions following the tension regarding a recent decline in relations.

She also called the Liaison office as ‘useless’ and took aim at the inter-Korean liaison office in the border town of Kaesong. Talking to news media, she was quoted saying, “By exercising my power authorized by the supreme leader, our party and the state, I gave an instruction to the arms of the department in charge of the affairs with [the] enemy to decisively carry out the next action. Before long, a tragic scene of the useless North-South joint liaison office completely collapsed would be seen.”

Talking in a harsh tone, she called defectors who had helped in the leaflet campaign “human scum” and “mongrel dogs.” The government of South Korea has reiterated that it will press charges against those defector groups that are leading border protests, in a reply to the furiousness of North Korea towards Leaflets.

Kim Yo Jong is the vice-department director of the Workers’ Party’s Central Committee. She is said to be the first vice-department director to have achieved such a high position. There were rumors in the month of April when her brother Kim Jong Un had disappeared that Kim Yo Jong would prolifically, replace him, and become the leader of the country. While her brother has returned to the duty since then, both have been carrying prominent actions in public affairs.
