France announces first victory against the pandemic- COVID-19

President of France, Emmanuel Macron declared its ‘first victory’ from the isolating & peculiar pandemic named novel coronavirus. Addressing his public through television on Sunday, he said that France will return to normalcy from Monday but it will exclude certain overseas territories. 

Bars and cafes are given permission to host clients but following the new-normal (social distancing) is strictly advised, all schools, colleges, and nurseries are set to get reopened from June 22, European travelers will be allowed to enter the country without any restriction excluding countries outside the Schengen area. 

As per the reports on Saturday, France recorded a total number of 24 deaths suffering from the pandemic and the tally remained at 29,398 cases. 

Unveiling the content news to every citizen, President Macron said, “From tomorrow, we will be able to turn the page on the first act of the crisis we have just gone through. The new stage which opens from tomorrow will accelerate the recovery. So, we will be able to find again the pleasure of being together, to fully resume work, but also to have fun, to cultivate ourselves. We will rediscover our art of living, our pleasure of freedom.” 

Meanwhile, the second phase of municipal election is also slated to be held on June 28 and President Macron expressed his concern regarding strictly controlling the mass gathering since the epidemic hasn’t been over in the whole world yet. Rolling out the economic and social agenda for the next two years, President Macron reiterated, “First priority is to rebuild a strong, ecological, sovereign and united economy.”

Stressing on the flaws and weaknesses of the country, the President in his fourth prime-time address since COVID-19 outbreak said that the situation has shown our dependencies on some continents for few products, social inequalities, and others. He also spoke about the country’s strength in reviving and reinforcing the flaws quickly and claimed that the same will be followed hereafter.
